An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a formal assessment of the safety and condition of a property’s electrical installations. Required by law for landlords and strongly recommended for commercial premises, DMS carries out EICR inspections to BS 7671 standards, issuing a formal certificate on completion. Reports are valid for five years for commercial properties and rental accommodation. For owner-occupied homes, a ten-year cycle is generally recommended, though this may vary depending on the age and condition of the installation.
